Can you recommend a good money management programme?
I’m looking for an easy to use programme so I can keep track of the incoming (not enough!) and the outgoing (far too much!) money at home. It needs to be very simple to use else I know it won’t get used.
The two well known products are Quicken and Microsoft Money. However, if you are in the UK, then the last version of Quicken was released in 2004 and it is no longer supported. Though I still use it without any problems.
If you really just want to track the cash coming into the household and what you are spending it on then you may find it easier just to use a spreadsheet. If you don’t have a spreadsheet on your PC already then you could download one from OpenOffice (http://openoffice.org-suite.com/index.asp?aff=101&camp=gg_oo_uk&se=google) – and it’s is free.
Quicken far and away is the best. You can get it at any store that sells software or download it directly at http://quicken.intuit.com/
